The Company
My client is a successful business in the building/construction space, with a proven track record in the industry for the last 30 years. They have developed a large footprint across the country they are looking for a Bookkeeper to join the business on a permanent part-time basis (3 days a week). This role will support the business to partner operations & help drive the business forward.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the accounting function of the business with the support of an external accountant. Your role will be quite varied as the business is very project driven and these vary in size and scope. Your duties will encompass:
- All invoicing requirements
- Accounts payable & receivable processing
- Bank & General Ledger reconciliations
- Month end preparation & compliance
- Liaising with internal and external clients on a daily basis
- Payroll
- Project costing & tender preparation
- Use of Xero software
- Administrative duties – phones, mail, business support etc
Your Experience
The successful candidate will ideally come from a construction/building/engineering environment. An accounting related degree/diploma is required. This business has been built on teamwork and everyone pulling together, so you must have a good sense of humour & the attitude to roll the sleeves up and get things done.
