An industry leading freight forwarder & customs broker with a standout brand and service across the globe. Due to continuous growth & expansion they are currently looking for a “hands on” National Operations Manager to join the business based in Tullamarine. This company uses advanced technology, expertise & their global networks to ensure they deliver high quality supply chain solutions to their customers.

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager you will oversee the operations across several branches nationally. Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Promote and establish senior relationships with key strategic suppliers and stakeholders
  • Deliver against financial performance metrics set by the business
  • Customer retention and development through premium service delivery
  • Ensure that KPI’s set are in line with customer business objectives
  • Manage customer and supplier issues to deliver positive outcomes and high standards of customer service
  • Operational SOP management
  • Create and manage risk mitigation strategies
  • Driving a culture that prioritises workplace health and safety
  • Continued push to utilise technology to create operational efficiencies
  • Some interstate travel when required
  • Staff management

Your Experience

  • You will have 5+ years in a managerial role within freight forwarding
  • Industry related qualifications ideal
  • Proven ability to grow and manage customer & supplier relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen & accountability
  • We want a tech savvy manager. The company has invested heavily in this space
  • The ability to work with a tight-knit team & be able to lead by example
